First Day of Class – CMfgA

Description

The Goodwill Artemis Institute is partnering with SME and Tooling U to offer the Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) certification course. CMfgA is an industry certification focused on basic manufacturing concepts, demonstrating an individual’s potential for high-demand, entry-level manufacturing roles. It was designed for individuals new to manufacturing who may not currently possess enough knowledge or experience for more advanced technical certifications. This might include high school students, dislocated workers, and individuals coming from other non-manufacturing sectors who wish to pursue a role as an assembler, manufacturing associate, production laborer and other entry-level manufacturing occupations.

Covering fundamental topics such as shop math, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, and more, this industry-driven certification prepares job seekers with the basic knowledge of manufacturing to make them an ideal candidate for entry-level manufacturing employment. The Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) certification course offers an initial step into a technology-rich industry filled with opportunities for continued growth and advancement into higher level positions within the manufacturing industry.

Requirements

Candidates should be 18 and over with at least a high school diploma or equivalency or enrolled at an accredited adult learning program. Candidates should be interested in advancing their technical, computer, or other workforce readiness skills to pursue a career in the manufacturing industry.

Class Schedule

Classes are held Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 12:00pm at our Goodwill Advanced Manufacturing Lab located at 800 E. 18^th St. Kansas City, MO 64108.
