About the Program
For 130 years, Goodwill has built a strong legacy of service for Kansans and Missourians. Today, MoKan Goodwill carries that legacy forward with the Artemis Institute, addressing the urgent needs of our evolving workforce and preparing individuals for the 4th Industrial Revolution.
As technologies like AI, robotics, and 3D printing reshape industries, the Artemis Institute partners with local tech companies to offer training in these future-focused fields. Through hands-on, project-based learning, both virtual and in-person, students gain the skills needed for the well-paying jobs of today and the future.
Courses & Programs Offered
Description
The Bridge to Technology program is designed to prepare adult learners for an advanced career pathway of their choice within the technology field and other identified future state industries including Robotics, AI/Computer Vision Machine Learning, AR/VR (Artificial Reality/Virtual Reality), 3D Printing, Cybersecurity, and IoT (Internet of Things) and more. The course consists of three 2-week blocks. Students can choose to take all 6 weeks of class or just the 2-week block that interests them most. Learners will attend the Bridge to Technology program at our AI Learning Lab located in Kansas City, MO. Each student will work with a Workforce Development Specialist to create a Career Development Plan and Resume. They will also have access to supportive services to removed barriers to success.
Earn an industry-recognized certification!
Covering fundamental topics such as shop math, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, and more, this industry-driven certification prepares job seekers with the basic knowledge of manufacturing to make them an ideal candidate for entry-level manufacturing employment. The Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) certification course offers an initial step into a technology-rich industry filled with opportunities for continued growth and advancement into higher level positions within the manufacturing industry.
Prepare for the Careers of Today, and Tomorrow
The Goodwill Artemis Institute has partnered with IBM SkillsBuild to help job seekers gain the skills they need to obtain an entry-level job in technology. SkillsBuild provides free tech learning paths and industry recognized digital badges. Whether learners are interested in skilling up for the digital economy or taking the first steps towards a new career, SkillsBuild offers a beginner friendly place to get started.
