Description
Students earn an industry-recognized credential as a Certified Manufacturing Associate. Starting pay for these roles typically ranges from $17.50 – $20.00 per hour.
The Goodwill Artemis Institute training program partners with SME and Tooling U to offer the Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) certification course. CMfgA is an industry recognized certification focused on basic manufacturing concepts, demonstrating an individual’s potential for high-demand, entry-level manufacturing roles. It was designed for individuals new to manufacturing who may not currently possess enough knowledge or experience for more advanced technical certifications.
Covering fundamental topics such as shop math, assembly, maintenance, machining, inspection, OSHA, quality, lean, CNC and more, this industry-driven certification prepares job seekers with the basic knowledge of manufacturing to make them an ideal candidate for entry-level manufacturing employment. The Certified Manufacturing Associate (CMfgA) certification course offers an initial step into a technology-rich industry filled with opportunities for continued growth and advancement into higher level positions within the manufacturing industry.
The training is great for individuals coming from other non-manufacturing sectors who wish to pursue a role as an assembler, manufacturing associate, production laborer and other entry-level manufacturing occupations.
