Mission Moment
Meet Melody
Melody visited the free Goodwill GoodWORKS Career Center in August. She was in a transitional living program after incarceration. With help from Goodwill, she quickly found employment with a retail inventory company, but the job didn’t fully meet her needs.
So, she continued to come to the GoodWORKS Career Center where Goodwill staff provided Melody with encouragement and interview tips. In September, she was hired as a cashier at a large home improvement retailer. Now, Melody has completed her re-entry program, has her own place to live, and she is an active parent to her son.
Employment is More Than a Paycheck
