2020 Goodwill Fellowship

For 125 years Goodwill of Western Missouri & Eastern Kansas has worked to empower job seekers with different abilities to overcome barriers to employment.  As a CARF-accredited 501(c)(3) non-profit, Goodwill is committed to developing the future leaders who will advance our mission and help build sustainable and prosperous communities!  We invite you to take the path less traveled, to break the norm, and become the solution. Our leadership fellowship program will provide you with the skills necessary to lead others, to solve complex problems, and to design new and innovative solutions throughout your professional career.

Everyone knows Goodwill for our thrift stores, but few know what Goodwill is all about. The sale of donated items provides funds that stay local, helping us to support thousands of job seekers with barriers to employment. Our retail stores, outlet center and attended donation centers have an annual economic impact of more than $16 million dollars. On average, 88₵ of every dollar Goodwill spends supports individualized programs and services for those facing barriers to employment. As a 2018 KCIC gold medal winner, Goodwill is recognized as a leader in sustainability, annually diverting more than 17 million pounds of donated materials to resell, reuse, and recycle.

Through hands-on experience, presentations and customized development, you will improve end-to-end knowledge in all areas of our business operations. You will be placed as a leader in our retail operations department, where we will help you develop the skills necessary to understand the business problems and implement the right solutions.  Learn how to lead, motivate and influence as a business leader. It’s your leadership that will guide your team to success! And we’ll support you through extensive training to help you grow as a strong executive leader.
